Secure Media Destruction in Columbus & Cincinnati
Royal Document Destruction operates hard-drive destruction equipment so customers can schedule either on-site or off-site certified destruction of hard drives. The equipment physically destroys hard drives by bending, breaking and mangling the hard drive and its internal components including the data platters, as shown in the photos.
Shred With Confidence
Our hard-drive destruction equipment meets compliance standards for all current laws that require destruction of data on hard drives prior to disposal. Royal Document Destruction’s equipment is mobile, and can be easily transported in one of our trucks to the customer location where destruction can be completed on-site, or the equipment can be put to work in our own secured facility. No hard drive should ever be disposed of without first being physically destroyed, as hard drives are a gold mine for identity thieves.
Our Media Destruction Process
In order to prevent persons from being able to “spin” the hard drive to retrieve data, the equipment is designed to physically destroy hard drives. Once destroyed, the data will no longer be retrievable. The data platters are bent and separated from the hub, the hard drive housing is cracked, the PC board is broken and the read/write heads are mangled. Other methods of data erasure leave the outside appearance of hard drives unchanged. It is impossible for the operator to distinguish a working hard drive from a non-working drive. The PD-8400 physically destroys and plainly identifies the hard drive as being ready for disposal.
Royal Document Destruction is pleased to offer our customers this ultimate combination in hard drive data security. This service compliments the very highest industry standards we consistently provide our customers in secured paper shredding and product destruction.
