Royal Document Destruction Receives National Recognition For Growth and Excellence
September 2, 2010, Columbus, Ohio – Locally owned Royal Document Destruction today announced that it was named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 list, which honors the most entrepreneurial and fastest growing companies in America. Royal Document Destruction earned the position of 3110 on the 2010 Inc 5000, Inc’s annual ranking of the fastest-growing private businesses in the country.
Royal Document Destruction is a full-service paper shredding company founded in Columbus, Ohio 15 years ago and is a family-owned business. New Albany residents John and Laura Daly and Dublin-based Jason Radtke founded and run the successful business which provides complete, full-service shredding at their highly-specialized, secure facility and with mobile shredding trucks. Recently, Royal Document Destruction has expanded its services to include secure hard-drive destruction and product destruction. Royal Document Destruction is headquartered in Gahanna, Ohio with an additional facility in Cincinnati.
Paper that the company collects is certified shred, then baled and sent by semi-load to paper mills to make recycled paper or products with recycled paper content. “Receiving this award recognizes how vital secure document destruction is for businesses, and our company’s commitment to being the best at providing this crucial service, and also on the importance of being green,” according to John Daly. “We have been recycling all of the paper that we shred since we founded the business 15 years ago. Being environmentally friendly while providing the best in document security is how our company began.”
The 2009 Inc 5000 serves as a unique report card on the U.S. economy. Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased and had a median 3-year growth rate of 126 percent. The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 1 million jobs since their founding, making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on the economy. For more than 30 years, Inc.’s list has served as evidence of the significant accomplishments of successful entrepreneurs. As an Inc. 5000 honoree, Royal Document Destruction shares a prestigious pedigree with such notable alumni as Intuit, Under Armour, Microsoft, Oracle and scores of other powerhouses.
This year’s list measures revenue growth from 2006 to 2009. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by June 30, 2006. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and have reached a minimum revenue of $2 million in 2009.
