John Daly

John Daly at Royal Document DestructionJohn grew up in Carmel, Indiana, attended Carmel High School, and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1991 with a degree in accounting. While earning his CPA accreditation, John gained experience across several broad industries before becoming a founding partner of Royal Document Destruction. John's began his career at Bank One (now J.P. Morgan Chase) in the internal auditing department. After several years at Bank One, John and his wife, Laura, moved to Champagne, Illinois where he was hired as the controller for Collegiate Cap and Gown, a division of Herff Jones.

In 1995, after a move back to Columbus, Ohio, John was one of the founders of Royal Document Destruction while he also served for many years as the CFO for affiliate company Royal Paper Stock. John now focuses his career overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations, finances and sales for Royal Document Destruction’s two locations in Columbus and Cincinnati. John has also earned the industry’s Certified Secure Destruction Specialist (CSDS) credentials. This makes John one of just a select group of individuals in the country to have taken and passed the highly specialized, rigorous CSDS exam, which is obtained through the National Association for information Destruction (NAID), the overseeing body of the shredding industry. This exam qualifies him as a recognized industry expert and his knowledge and expertise are of tremendous value to customers.

For the National Association for Information Destruction, John serves on both the Complaint Resolution Council and the Certification Review Board.

John is a member of the Conway Family Business Center, where he participates in the CEO Group, and he also serves on the Small Business Council for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. Royal Document Destruction is a long-time member of the Better Business Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, and the National Federation of Independent Businesses.

Royal Document Destruction has been recognized by Business First as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in Central Ohio six times, as well as nationally recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the most successful private businesses in the country three times.

He and his wife and business partner, Laura, have three great sons – David, Jared and Jack. They live in New Albany and the boys have been actively involved in New Albany Schools, many sports and the Church of The Resurrection. John has previously served on the New Albany Little League Board, was the Treasurer for the New Albany Little League for nine years, which saw the program grow to serve more than 1,000 participants, and he has served on the New Albany Community Finance Advisory Committee for the local schools.

In his spare time, John enjoys golfing, is a member of New Albany Country Club, and is an avid fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets and Indianapolis Colts.

Laura Daly

Laura Daly at Royal Document Destruction

Laura (Radtke) Daly was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Laura graduated from Bishop Watterson High School and then from Miami University in 1991 with a degree in Public Relations/Communications. Following college, Laura spent several years working for SBC advertising in Columbus and one year in the marketing department for Carle Hospital, in Champagne, Illinois. Following a move back to Columbus, Laura then helped coordinate marketing efforts at affiliate and family-owned Royal Paper Stock. In 1995, Laura became a founding partner of Royal Document Destruction along with her husband, John, and brother, Jason.

In addition to her work at Royal Document Destruction, Laura is an active member of the Conway Family Business Center, where she is a member of the Women In Business group, and she also serves as a Vice-Chair of the area National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) organization.

With a life-long commitment to volunteerism, Laura was a member of The Junior League of Columbus, The Pleasure Guild, which raises funds for Nationwide Children's Hospital, as well as locally volunteering for many years at Church of The Resurrection and for her son’s New Albany schools and athletic teams. The family resides in New Albany. Laura and John’s three sons- David, Jared and Jack, are the joy of her life.

Rob Grubaugh

Rob Grubaugh at Royal Document DestructionRob joined Royal Document Destruction in May of 2011 as the company's Sales Manager. A 2009 graduate from The Ohio State University, Rob brings a strong background in business-to-business sales and customer service. He continually strives to grow and enhance current customer experiences, as well as creating new partnerships with clients. Rob has been an important part of expanding Royal Document Destruction's community involvement where he previously served on the Board of Directors for the Worthington Chamber of Commerce. In 2014, Rob was named Worthington Chamber Volunteer of the Year. He is also a participating member of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the Membership Engagement Committee (MEC) as well as The Greater Powell Chamber of Commerce. With his outgoing personality, Rob is a common staple among community networking events. As part of his Sales Manager role, Rob spends a few Saturday's a month, helping host Shred Days for local non-profit's and area businesses.

After his time at OSU, Rob began his customer service career at The Harbor Town Golf Links, in Hilton Head, SC. It was in Hilton Head where Rob met his wife, Karaline. They moved back to Ohio and Rob began working for Clear Channel Radio in Columbus. They married in 2011 and reside in Grove City. In 2013, Rob and Karaline welcomed a beautiful, energetic daughter, Rowan. In his free time, Rob enjoys golf, watching the many different sports around Columbus and Cincinnati, spending time with family and friends, and trying new restaurants in the Columbus area.

George Stephenson

George Stephenson at Royal Document DestructionGeorge is Royal Document Destruction's plant manager, and he oversees a staff of 10 people. He has been with the company for more than 20 years, and his job responsibilities have grown and developed along with the progression of Royal Document Destruction.

For the last 12 years, George has served as the plant manager of the now 25,000 square ft., highly secure and automated shredding facility. As he has helped the company's plant grow, George places top priority on his personal career goals of providing the upmost in security, safety and productivity on a daily basis. Under George's supervision, Royal Document Destruction's Columbus plant now operates a dual, high speed, cross-cut paper shredding system, automated baler, dust system and a 24-camera, high-tech digital security monitoring system to provide the best technology and safekeeping in the paper shredding industry. In 2014, Royal Document Destruction added a new 150 horsepower, high speed, product destruction shredder to expertly handle the destruction of clothing, uniforms, media, hard drives, obsolete product, recalled items, packaging overruns and more. George's job responsibilities continue to grow as the company expanded its plant operation to include three specialized shredders to best service the needs of Central Ohio businesses.

George and his wife, Pam, have been married for almost 25 years. In his spare time, George enjoys family vacations and travel with his wife and four children. The Columbus Crew and the Ohio State Buckeyes are his favorite local sports teams.

Ric McPike - Cincinnati

Ric McPike at Royal Document DestructionRic was born in Richmond, Indiana and grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, where he played football, basketball and baseball for University High School. He then moved on to Indiana University-Bloomington, where he graduated in 1974 with a B.A. in Business from the Kelley School of Business.

After graduation, Ric held Operations and General Manager’s positions with companies such as American Hospital Supply Corporation, Iron Mountain and Cintas in Chicago, Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati. Ric joined Royal Document in 2004, and serves as the Cincinnati Sales Manager.

Ric and his wife, Amy, an agent and financial counselor with The Bridge Financial Group, are parents to Erin, a political journalist and consultant in Washington, D.C., and Jonathan, an attorney in Indianapolis. The “World’s Best Golden”, Morgan, is also a member of the family. Ric and Amy are supporters of IU’s basketball program, Cancer Family Care – Cincinnati and the Interfaith Hospitality Network. In Ric’s spare time, Ric enjoys landscaping and sailing.

Rick McCoy – Cincinnati

Rick McCoy at Royal Document DestructionRick is the plant manager for Royal Document Destruction’s Cincinnati facility, a position he has held since 2012. As the plant manager, Rick maintains the safety and security of the paper shredding and product destruction processes, schedules the trucks and ensures that all daily procedures and safety standards are maintained at the highest industry standards as determined by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID).

Rick is a graduate of Western Hills High School, and has lived in Cincinnati most of his life. Following high school, Rick managed several pizza restaurants, obtained his EMT Certification and then his CDL license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, which he still maintains. At Royal Document Destruction, Rick was originally hired as a route driver. Since becoming the plant manager, Royal Document Destruction’s Cincinnati division has shown consistent growth over the last six years.

Rick is married to Pamela, who brought three wonderful kids with her to their marriage - Alex, Matt and Abbigail. Pamela works in the medical field with Cincinnati Allergy and Asthma Center, supervising their Hyde Park location. Their two sons currently work in retail, and Abby is graduating from Harrison High School in 2018 and has been accepted into the nursing program at Cincinnati State.

Rick’s hobbies include anything outdoors, such as hunting, fishing camping and shooting trap. He is also a loyal Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan, through thick and thin! Rick is a proud member of the Southwest Ohio Conservation Club and the National Wild Turkey Federation. As a member of SWOCC, he and fellow members host several camping trips every year for the local Boy Scout troops, teaching them safe practices of fishing, shooting and camping. As a member of the NWTF, the group offers help to local farmers with land management and feed, and also hosts local hunts several times a year for the Wheeling Sportsman, which helps handicapped hunters in wheelchairs enjoy different hunting activities.
